Our potatoes were looking a bit floppy after all the hot weather. We gave them a really good watering and have put some more compost to help support the plants. How much do you think they have grown?

This afternoon we have been learning about the parts of plants and how you can identify different plants. We planted a geranium in the outdoor learning area and went for a walk to see how many different types of plants we could find.

We checked on our courgette seeds again today and found another one has germinated! If we have planted 23 seeds and 2 have germinated, what percentage have not germinated yet?

We have been checking on how our courgette seeds have grown over the Easter holiday. We noticed the compost was warm and damp, only 1 seed has sprouted so far. How many do you think will germinate? How many courgettes will grow altogether?

Sheridan was the first person in our class to bring in an old pop bottle, so he got to plant our extra chitted potato for our experiment. We planted the potato and covered the bottle with newspaper to make the potato think it was underground. How much do you think it will grow over Easter?
